Mr. Kurth

Hello! My name is Mr. Erick Kurth. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I attended Hidden Forest ES and graduated from Churchill HS in '94. I then attended Texas Tech University where I gained my Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Sports Science with a Minor in Mental Health.

I was then given the opportunity to help run and operate private language instituites in Asia, so from 2002-2017 I lived and worked in Asia teaching English. I spent 5 years in Thailand where I helped students get into prestigious universities such as The Oxford School of Law. Bangkok is also where I met my wife and oldest daughter was born. I spent 10 years in South Korea primarily as public school English language and conversation teacher.  Our youngest daughter was born in Korea before we moved back to America.

My oldest daughter is a senior at Churchill HS and my youngest is in the first grade at Coker ES.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and 2 dogs. We are adventurous foodies who are willing to try just about anything. Our favorite foods are seafood, Thai food, anything spicy, and of course Tex-Mex!! I also enjoy listening to music (specifically Harry Styles- Harry's House).

This is going to be my third year teaching at Nimitz. I am beyond excited to get to meet and know all of you. Please don't hesistate to stop by and say hi, my door is always open. Whether you need help academically or you just want to talk about middle school in general.
