With great excitement and pride, I am beginning my 6th year back home at NEISD and my 9th year in Education! I am a former graduate and a state champion from Winston Churchill High School, who played college soccer for UIW @ SA, graduated from Texas State University in 2012, earning a degree in ELA with an emphasis on creative writing.  Consequently, coaching and playing soccer have been a passion, so for over 15 years, I have officiated and coached the sport.  Moreover, I have taught British Literature for 7 years, Senior AP ELA for 1 year, and Freshman ELA for 1 year.  Fortunately, I married my wife Monica in 2015, and as a result, she blessed me with my two stepdaughters, Ysabella and Yliz.  Luckily, I am honored to share that both of my daughters have attended my former elementary and middle school here in NEISD.  Other blessings include my first-born son, Charles Santiago, who arrived in February of 2017, and my second son, David Leonel, who arrived over the 2018 Christmas holidays.  Essential life elements for me include family time, reading and writing, anything outdoors, teaching, camping, playing soccer, bbqing & cooking, and board sports.
