Welcome students! My name is Sandra Gonzalez McKinney. This will be my 10th year working as an art instructor! I was born and raised in Tamaulipas, Mexico. I moved to Laredo, Texas in 2000. I have participated in numerous art exhibits throughout United States. In 2013, I received a Master of Fine Arts degree at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. I have been working as a muralist in several public art projects in different cities in Texas, and as an art educator for six years in Laredo and Corpus Christi, Texas. This will be my fourth year working at Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, Texas. My specialization is on public art, mural consulting, painting, drawing and printmaking. I feel very passionate helping the community through art.
